Lexi LX 155 Launches, Lexi 125 cc Directly Discontinuous
JAKARTA, MOTOREXPERTZ.COM --- The latest generation Yamaha Lexi LX 155 was officially launched with a new 155 cc engine on Friday 12 January 2024.
Dyonisius Beti, President Director & CEO PT. Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) revealed the reason why the Lexi LX 155 uses a 155 cc engine.
"Why use a 155 cc engine, one is because it is in the Maxi category, and the body is bigger and consumers expect a higher class. Meanwhile, with the 125 cc Yamaha already has various Blue Core models, such as Mio, Gear, FreeGo," said Dyonisius Beti in Jakarta , Friday 12 January 2024.
Meanwhile, for the previous version of the Lexi 125, Dyonisius revealed that his party had stopped production of this model or was discontinuing it.
"For the old Lexi 125 cc, with the release of the Lexi LX 155 it was automatically discontinued and continued with this new model," he said.

Now the Lexi LX 155 is equipped with the latest generation Blue Core 155 cc engine which can be seen in the camshaft, piston and head design as well as the oil path.
The latest engine on the Lexi LX 155 produces maximum power of 11.3 kW/8000 rpm and maximum torque of 14.2 Nm/6500 rpm.
Apart from that, the Lexi LX 155 engine also has VVA (Variable Valve Actuation), SOHC, 4 valve and liquid cooled technology.
This latest Yamaha product engine has a Stop & Start System embedded which functions to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption when the motorbike is stopped.
Apart from that, there is a Smart Motor Generator which functions to make the motor sound smoother when turned on.
What's special about the Lexi LX 155 Connected ABS is that it has an ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) braking system to optimize braking while driving and make driving more comfortable.
